Following is a Family History Catalog that includes records housed permanently at the Family History Library in Escanaba, Michigan. Collection includes Delta County, Upper Peninsula and Canada as the major interest, along with other areas of interest. Collection comprised of films, fiche, books and miscellaneous.

INTRODUCTION
This catalog is designed to help you locate any microfilm in this FHC's collection quickly and easily. All films are stored in the gray file cabinet with the shallow drawers. Each drawer is numbered with a letter of the alphabet.

The table of contents is divided into geographical areas. The first entry is either a general area or a very large country (British Isles, Canada, United States, Europe, Scandinavia.) The next subdivision of these areas (i.e. England, Quebec, Michigan, Germany, Finland) is indented once and double spaced. The third subdivision (counties or provinces) is indented twice and single spaced. If the FHC has only a few films for a country, it's listing will not be divided into provinces or counties.

After you have located a film in the catalog that you wish to see, write down its number which is found on the right hand side of the page next to the description of the film. The letter after the number shows you which drawer the film is in.

The films are filed in numerical order within a drawer, except for censuses and series (i.e. Loiselle). Censuses are filed by year, series by alphabet.
